This course is created for women and men of all ages who want to get back into their body and find their center and joy by learning the basics of mindfulness meditation. In the current crisis with all its stressful moments, we tend to disconnect from what brings us a deep understanding of ourselves and spiritual nourishment. But we can also use this as an opportunity to get a better understanding of who we are, why we’re here, what we truly value and need. Taking time to attend to our body awareness and inner life can bring a new level of clarity and peace and guide us back to our own inner knowledge and selfcare. As the outer and inner voices subside through the practice of meditation, we begin to remember what it means to be present in the moment and move though life with a relaxed body, state of mind and open heart. During this workshop, we’ll dive into the practice of Movement and Mindfulness Meditation. Through a variety of exercises having its origin in Yoga, Qi Gong, Exploration and Body Mind Centering we will focus on stillness, silence and connection. Having our body as our home and container we will learn the basics of Mindfulness Meditation. There will be periods of seated meditation, standing and walking meditation, mindfulness of the breath and the body, mindfulness of thoughts and emotions combined with various forms of physical exercises we can practice daily. We will explore what it means to be in touch with ourselves, be centered, focused, calm and grounded, have inner space and be able to pause within our challenging, chaotic and beautiful lives.
