Where we are on the road to completion of the project:
– plans are currently under Planning review at the City of Sunnyvale Community Development Department; next step after Planning review is Building Safety review.
– our preferred general contractor is preparing their bid for the project
– the architect has provided samples of the construction materials (pavers, tiles, wood decking, etc) for review and approval
– the Board has interviewed and retained an attorney with expertise in construction to advise on contractual matters
Besides driving all of the actions above, the Board and Staff are continuously assessing the potential impacts on Summer 2025 activities. We are committed to preserving the Manta Rays and summer swimming season for members. We are expecting more clarity by the next Board meeting on February 10, thus will then target a start month for construction. We look forward to seeing you at that meeting, should you be interested.
